As the first patent registration of our university, the invention of Dr. Hasan Eryılmaz, Retired Faculty Member of the Faculty of Engineering, “The Method of Coating Paper Cups with Glass Layer” was deemed patent eligible and registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. 
Inventor Chemist Doctor Hasan Eryılmaz gave information about the study, which was realized as a project within the scope of Scientific Research Projects in 2022. 
Referring to the effects of paper cups on human health and the environment, Dr. Hasan Eryılmaz stated that the research process and production planning of the relevant study were meticulously built and that the products to be produced within the framework of this invention are more environmentally friendly than paper and plastic cups. Dr. Eryılmaz emphasized that with the acceptance of the patent application, they are ready to provide all kinds of contributions in the stages of production and dissemination of the product.
